He Almost Killed Me

Thank you for discussing Domestic Violence on your Podcast. It's a topic that affects more women than we know I meet my boyfriend at college and quickly thought that we would be together forever. In the beginning life was great but then out of nowhere he changed. My sweet loving boyfriend turned into a monster right before my eyes. He would lock me outside our home in the middle of the night just because, he would hide the car keys so I couldn't drive back and forth to work which meant I would have to walk. When I finally arrive home, he would beat me because he said he knew the only reason why I arrived home so late is because I was cheating. (sad) I wasn't cheating remember he hide the keys and it was no brainer that I worked because I need pocket money, he stopped providing for me so how would I be able take care of myself. This went on for several years until I decided that love shouldn't hurt. Why be with someone who doesn't want to be with you. Looking back on that situation I'm glad it wasn't worst.
